Trinidad and Tobago Hindus join worldwide chanting chain - Celebrating 170 Years of Hanuman Chalisa...
The largest gathering of devotees in Trinidad, chanting Sri Hanuman Chalisa, for world peace and protection with over 5,000 Hindus coming together to engage in intense non-stop chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa. The event, titled Epic Hanuman Chanting, took place on the compound of the Divali Nagar on May 23. The chanting of 40 verses, centred around Hanuman, was transported in memory across the Kala Pani in the last century by indentured immigrants from India and coincides with the 170th anniversary of Indian arrival in Trinidad and Tobago.

On Sunday, the 31st July 2016, the much anticipated mass Hanuman Chalisa chanting program took place in the sprawling field in front of Hanuman. Over 5000 persons, most of them in red dress sang Hanuman Chalisa 18 times with Sri Swamiji. On stage with Sri Swamiji were Mysore Ashrama musicians and the local musicians of Trinidad. As sun set and night dawned, the Hanuman chalisa chanting led an air of happiness and spirituality.

Sri Swamiji dedicated the sgshanumanchalisa.video website to the world. This contains over 40,000 Hanuman Chalisa video recording by individuals from across the globe. Guinness world records official declared that this was a new world record for "World’s Largest Online Video Album".
At the award ceremony recognizing the World Record, the Guinness World Records representative Mr. Alex extolled the various comprehensive efforts of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji for establishing and improving universal peace....
This is the Fifth Guinness World Record set by His Holiness Dr. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, who has earlier created world history by Leading a mass chanting event for universal peace with over 128,000 people in India, Largest Music Therapy lesson in Sydney, Australia, a Marathon Prayer Chant for World Peace in Dallas, US and the largest Pranayama Lesson for individual well-being in Milpitas, US.
