The largest gathering of devotees in Trinidad, chanting Sri Hanuman Chalisa, for world peace and protection with over The event, titled Epic Hanuman Chanting, took place on the compound of the Divali Nagar on
May 23. The chanting of 40 verses, centred around Hanuman, was transported in memory across the Kala Pani in the last century by indentured immigrants from India and coincides with
the 170th anniversary of Indian arrival in Trinidad and Tobago.
On Sunday, the 31st July 2016, the much anticipated mass Hanuman Chalisa chanting program took place in the sprawling field in front of Hanuman.
Over 5000 persons, most of them in red dress sang Hanuman Chalisa 18 times with Sri Swamiji. On stage with Sri Swamiji were Mysore Ashrama musicians and the local musicians of
Trinidad. As sun set and night dawned, the Hanuman chalisa chanting led an air of happiness and spirituality.
